What is Zyvox and what is it used for?
Zyvox is an antibiotic medicine, available in the UK from Pfizer. It works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria that cause infections.
Zyvox is used to treat adults for pneumonia and some infections in the skin or under the skin.
Zyvox is given via oral suspension, tablet or intravenous infusion and will usually be initiated in a hospital environment. Zyvox is only available with a prescription. Medical professionals carefully consider a range of factors before recommending which antibiotic to use.
