Fuelling positive change by giving back to our local communities.
From inspiring love for science at schools to organising donations for local food banks, Pfizer colleagues have been generously devoting their time, experience, and expertise to support non-profit organisations across the UK.
Each year Pfizer collegues can take up to 5 volunteering days to pursue a cause close to their heart.
Partner Programmes
Our partnership programmes are designed to accelerate positive impact on the social determinants of health - part of our responsibility as a healthcare business. We work closely with our established partners to drive positive change in local communities and underrepresented groups. Our colleagues can join our partner programmes to support the mentoring of young people, to improve access to sports for people with disabilities, and to inspire the pursuit of STEM careers for female and non-binary students.
"We are so grateful for our partnership with Pfizer! Your Pfizer mentor teams have been exceptional, supporting young people’s social action projects and, crucially, their essential skills development. You have also opened up a new world to them, sharing the range of things you do, and the empathy, depth and diversity of your teams. Your mentors are a critical part of our programme’s success, and your support is a critical feature of our sustainability. On behalf of everyone at Envision - thank you!"

Envision – Building core skills for underrepresented young people
We believe that investing in the personal and professional development of younger generations is paramount to building a brighter and sustainable future for all. In support of this pursuit, Pfizer is a key partner of Envision who run programmes that equip young people with essential skills and confidence needed to tackle pressing issues affecting their local communities. These are identified by students as part of the 12-week programme and range from tackling racism and food poverty, to mental health and climate change.
Four key skills are built across the programme in young people who possess a spark but are not yet able to thrive at school: communication, creativity, determination, and teamwork. These are developed and put to the test through 12 practical sessions run by expert Envision facilitators. Our Pfizer colleagues bring their experience by joining the students for 3 sessions, acting as business mentors and skill-builders for the students who ultimately present their social impact idea to a board of judges at ‘The Envision Final’.

Upskill Me – Empowered Females in STEM programme
A young person’s education or future career opportunities should not by restricted by their social or economic background. Upskill Me is a non-profit organisation which aims overcome this issue by inspiring young people from underrepresented backgrounds to shape their future through real-world learning, a strong community, and a network of employers and life-changing opportunities.
Pfizer colleagues have joined the Empowered Females in STEM programme as expert mentors. The programme delivers masterclass workshops, mentorship, and coaching with the aim of preparing young women and non-binary students at a critical stage in their education for a career in STEM. Our colleagues work with groups of 6-7 students aged 16-17 to spark conversation, share learning and inspire the next generation of female and non-binary STEM leaders.

"The interest and enthusiasm shown by the young people about STEM studies and careers was incredible and proved the involvement of women in science in years to come will be strong! Guiding the group through the program and sharing my academic and career experience in research and pharma was beneficial for both sides, and I hope my stories were inspiring!"

Superhero Series – the UK’s only all access sporting event
Real superheroes don’t have to wear capes. We are the proud supporters of the SuperHero Series - the only sporting event in the UK organised for everyday people with disabilities. Celebrating the power of inclusivity, the two annual competitions allow its participants to feel empowered, uplifted, and unrestrained in their abilities. Since 2019, Pfizer colleagues have supported the events as loyal sidekicks, volunteering their support in many different ways. From providing glitter and water-based tattoos, to the running of arts and crafts sessions, to cheerleading at the finish line; each year our volunteers make sure to make the day super fun!
